Psalm 5 - Arrogance Cannot Stand

Psalm 5 - Why do we often times pray on our knees?  Why do we bow our heads?  Why, sometimes, when we seek the Lord with desperation do we fall prostrate?  Because arrogance cannot stand in the presence of God (verse 5).  So it’s not just our body that gets on our knees, bows, or falls prostrate.  But our hearts need to take the same posture as well!

Here’s a question we all need to ask.  Do we want God’s presence only when we are praying?  Or do we want God’s presence all the time in our lives?  If the 2^nd question is answered with a yes, then we need to carry that same posture with us throughout our daily living.  Arrogance cannot stand in the presence of God.  Is there anything arrogant about your lifestyle?

My desire, Lord, is that my confidence would come through you living in and through me.  Give me the strength to be humble.  Amen.
