Psalm 4 - Does It Get Any Better?

Psalm 4 - Does it get any better than this?  I guess it all depends on what “this” is!  But most of the time, the answer is YES!  No matter what possessions we have, there will always be bigger and better.  No matter the success we enjoy, there will always be the next level to achieve.  No matter how full our bellies get, they will be hungry again tomorrow.  No matter how great our relationships are, there is always room for improvement.

However, when God shines his goodness upon our lives, we realize we have more than enough!  In fact, take away all the things of life and still leave God, then we’ll still have more than enough!  God has “filled our hearts with greater joy” than anything else possibly can (verse 7). 

You are more than enough for my life, Lord.  Will you shine upon all that I have so that my blessings will pour into those around me.  Amen.
