Psalm 2 - I’m honored to be my parents’ son. Mom and Dad are both honest, hardworking, caring people. Others respect them because they have spent most of their lifetimes pouring themselves into others. So when they call me their son, I count it as a joy.
The writer of this chapter expressed a joy in the fact that God has called him God’s son (verse 7). Who wouldn’t be thrilled by the fact that the creator of the universe would claim you as His child? The truth that we read in John 1:12-13 is that anyone who receives Christ is adopted by God! God’s own child! That’s right… God has claimed you as His own!
Thank you, God, for adopting me into your family! Knowing that I belong to you gives me more joy than anything else in the world! Amen.
